This story uses a story-within- a story structure.  Three Edwardian actors in the cast retell the story of Louis de Rougemont , playing dozens of characters and spanning an entire lifetime of adventures in an attempt to persuade the audience these death defying castaway experiences actually occurred.   The entire design team created an approach that all visible items had been made by the Edwardian actors themselves.  The actors never leave stage; the costume design was conceived like unpeeling an orange to strip characters down and build them back up again and to change the color scheme at important emotional  turning points.
